Shots

I know several of you have dogs, so I'm hoping you'll be able to help me out. . . . I got a postcard in the mail the other day from Lucy's vet telling us it is time to get the following shots:

Corona
D.H.L.P.
Parvo
Rabies

Are all of these shots necessary? I tried looking them up online, but didn't really have much luck. Which shots does your dog get annually?

  1. Never heard of Corona (that's funny), but I know Parvo and Rabies are necessary.

  2. Addie gets all of those shots. We take her to PetsMart and we have a Wellness Plan that we pay 20 bucks a month and it covers all of that stuff.

  3. Lizzie gets all those shots yearly. What vet does Lucy go to? We just moved to Loop 363 Animal Hospital and love it. They spoil her so much.

  4. I just had our annual vet visit too. It gets expensive, especially with two dogs. Not to mention, both mine have to get the Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccine since we board them occassionally. I'm also bringing them back tomorrow for Rattlesnake vaccines, since there have been a lot of rattlesnake bites this year in south Austin!

  5. Thanks for the advice! I decided to go ahead and get all four immunizations for Lucy. I don't want to over-medicate her, but I don't want to take any risks either.
